Questions worth asking.
Is every epoxy floor basically the same?+
No. Preparation, solids content, film thickness, chemistry, moisture conditions, application timing, and installer discipline determine whether the floor lasts or fails.
Can you guarantee my concrete will never crack?+
No honest contractor can. Existing cracks can be treated properly, but a coating cannot stop structural movement underneath the slab.
Do new concrete floors still need grinding?+
Yes. New concrete may contain laitance, curing residue, weak areas, pitting, moisture, and surface contamination. Age does not replace preparation.
How long before I can use the floor?+
Cure times depend on the selected system and site conditions. Typical guidance is foot traffic after 24 to 36 hours and vehicles after 48 to 72 hours.
